Aerodinamical engineering
The design of our aerial platforms starts with an aerodinamical analysis using custom software developed by our engineers, based on the vortex-lattice theory, modelled on MATLAB-SIMULINK and supported by a full performance analyisis at various regimes, temperatures, altitudes and pressures corresponding to different mission related assumptions.
The wing section has been simulated in FLUENT and a scaled down model of the wing has been tested in a wind tunnel, and the results have been compared with experimental flights performed on our previous vehicles (K2A).
CAD-CAM design using CATIA
A full digital model of the vehicle has been created, detailing every aspect using industry standardad CAD package CATIA v5 defining the geometry of all components used.
The digital model simplifies the design of custom made modifications to our platforms to accomodate them to customer's specifications.
Structural design
The digital model mentioned above, also makes it possible the full structural design of our platforms using NASTRAN-PATRAN. The result is that our vehicles have been optimized, obtaining unparalelled performance ratios in their category, without compromising their operational security.
